Burst water pipeline presents a spectacle in Siddipet

SIDDIPET: Water spraying into the air with heavy force from a burst pipeline of Mission Bhagiratha is ironically making for a rare spectacle in Siddipet district. The stretch of the pipeline that was broken goes across Kudavelli rivulet in Akbarpet Bhoompally mandal of the district.

The pipeline, located atop an old bridge, burst after the strcuture caved in. There has been a colossal waste of precious drinking water that is meant for supply to the households in the adjoining villages.

As a precautionary measure, people and vehicular movement on the bridge has been closed. Local residents have alerted the authorities concerned and urged them to carry out repairs to the damaged pipeline at the earliest.

Even as the burst pipeline is going to pose a major challenge for the authorities in carrying out the repairs without leaving the consumers parched, the place is drawing onlookers in hordes to catch the rare sight of water leaping into the air with great force.
