HYDERABAD: To celebrate TRS Working President and Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao in a novel way, one of his fans came with a unique idea. He blended 'coin art' into a painting on the ground to present a huge portrait of his favourite leader.
The 20x30-feet portrait, painted on the ground and then filled with 40,000 money coins on the premises of Ravindra Bharathi here on Sunday truly stole the show as a sight to behold. The innovative image, screaming with the greetings "Happy Birthday, KTR", was planned by Athimula Ramakrishna, censor board member, and more importantly, a die-hard fan of the minister.
The mammoth piece of art was painted by renowned rangoli artist Vijaya Bhaskar. He, along with his team, worked for 20-25 hours to paint the portrait first and then painstakingly arrange the coins all over it. It soon emerged as a star attraction for all the visitors of Ravindra Bharathi and they were seen vying with one another to take selfies with the portrait in the background.
Speaking about his unique birthday gift to KTR, Ramakrishna said: "I chose this coin art to convey my heart-felt birthday wishes to my favourite leader, who is also the most popular at the national level. We came up with this small experiment with the cooperation of a wall-art group of Hyderabad. We as his fans, always find KTR's leadership and vision inspiring and spell-binding".
"We are all prepared to follow in the footsteps of KTR and take up any activity in future under his leadership," he added.
