Man attempting suicide saved, handed to police

HYDERABAD: A man, who was attempting to end his life by jumping off the PVNR Expressway in Hyderabad, was saved by passer-bys on Friday.

Despite heavy rain on Friday midnight, passer-bys stepped in and stopped him from jumping off the flyover and handed him over to the police.

The man, Abdul Ghafoor, had migrated to Hyderabad from Bidar and did small jobs in the city. Reportedly, he attempted suicide due to financial troubles.

The Police would be investigating the matter for other possible reasons for the attempt.
