HYDERABAD: A woman constable, who stopped Rachakonda Commissioner of Police DS Chouhan from entering an SSC examination centre with his mobile phone, earned the latter’s praise on Thursday.

With the SSC question papers leakage scandal sending shockwaves in Telangana, the police and the education department officials have been strictly enforcing the rules with no scope for any exceptional relaxations. And just when the Rachakonda CP was about to enter the centre through the main gate, Kalpana, a woman constable on duty there, politely stopped the senior official and asked him to deposit his mobile phone. DS Chouhan diligently passed on his mobile phone to her before stepping inside. Impressed by the commitment shown by the woman constable, the Rachakonda police boss not only showered praises on her but even honoured Kalpana with a cash reward of Rs 500.
