HYDERABAD: A toddy tapper was inspired to make his presence felt in the season of patriotic euphoria coinciding with India's 76th Independence Day. He hoisted the national flag atop a palm tree located behind the junior civil judge court in Choutuppal on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The gesture of the toddy tapper, Venkatesham Goud is winning appreciation from everyone. While some depicted it as a 'true patriotic act', many others felt that Goud planting the Tricolour on top of a palm tree aptly reflected the slogan 'Jhanda Uncha Rahe Hamaraa'.
Floored by Venkatesham Goud's love for the country, the judge and other staffers of the court complex felicitated him.
