YS Jagan terms Direct Benefit Transfer as investment in human capital

KAVALI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday said that he considered Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as an investment in human capital.

Addressing a public meeting in Kavali on the occasion of de-notifying dotted lands in the state, the Chief Minister claimed that Andhra Pradesh was going to be a role model for best Human Capital Index in the country in the days to come.

“Today, a superpower like Germany is facing a huge crunch as far as skilled workforce is concerned. Just to avoid a similar situation, we are investing in human capital,” he said while outlining the importance attached by his government to the DBT system.
