FCRI invites applications for Ph.D programmes for 2022-23

HYDERABAD: Applications at the Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI) were opened on Friday. Applications were invited for Ph. D for the academic year 2022-23.

Master’s degree in the respective discipline in Forestry from ICAR/UGC recognized university or a recognized equivalent qualification. The candidate must have secured a minimum OGPA of 7.5 in the Master program to apply for an admission in the Ph. D program. However, the required OGPA for SC/ST/PH candidates is 7.0.

The selection of candidate into the doctoral programme is based on the combined performance in M.Sc. Forestry, ICAR entrance and interview as per the weightage given below:

M.Sc.- 40 percent

ICAR Entrance – 40 percent

Interview- 20 percent

Interested candidates can fill out the application form available on their official website – www.fcrits.in. The application fee amounts to Rs 2,000 for general category and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/PH candidates. The last date for application is January 29, 2023. The candidates can apply for the course up to January 31, 2023 but with an added fine of Rs 500 towards the application fee.
