20 nursing students injured as bus overturns near Nakrekal

NAKIREKAL: At least 20 nursing students sustained injuries after their college bus overturned on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway near Nakrekal of Nalgonda district.

According to reports, 20 students pursuing a Nursing course at PGF Nursing college in Suryapet were travelling to Nalgonda in their college bus. However, the bus overturned after it reached the Nakrekal on Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway. The injured students were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police, upon preliminary investigation, said that the bus was not fit enough for regular operations and suspected that this could have caused the accident. A case has been registered and investigation was on.
