Speaking to the media, Narayana said that their office was besieged by the police and alleged that the police had forcibly snatched away after storming their office. He claimed that it was the right of political leaders to protest against the government, even during a visit of the Prime Minister, for failing to deliver on development promises.

The CPI leader took a dig at the Centre for not allocating the funds to the Kaleshwaram project and mulling the privatisation of Singareni collieries. He said that it was bad on the part of the BJP to poach MLAs of the ruling party in the state.
