Aren’t you ashamed of being in Congress that prevented Rythu Bandhu, asks KCR

SHADNAGAR: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) asserted that Rythu Bandhu will be stopped if the Congress party wins the upcoming polls.

Speaking at a public meeting in Shadnagar on Monday, KCR questioned the Congress leaders, "Are you not ashamed of continuing in the Congress which stopped disbursement of Rythu Bandhu? Even Congress workers, who are receiving Rythu Bandhu amounts, too will suffer. Congress activists should think about it.

"If you put power in the hands of wrong people, they will not develop the State. It's like giving a knife to a mad person who will obviously stab you," he said.

KCR then criticised the Congress leaders for not having a proper vision towards development of the State and that they were still following an old development model.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the BRS party would win with the highest majority in the upcoming polls. He promised the people that pattas would be issued to those who have assigned lands and added that this would be the first thing that the BRS would sign in its first Cabinet Meeting after winning the polls.

Rao urged the voters to cast their vote for the BRS candidate Anjaiah who worked hard for the development of Shadnagar. He added that the people of Shadnagar would benefit if a leader like Anjaiah would come to power.

Recalling the position of the State during 'Indiramma Rajyam', KCR questioned the people, "Why Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had floated a party if Indira Gandhi's rule was good? Why did he implement the Rs 2/kilo of rice scheme?"

KCR asked the people to compare the development that took place under 50 years of Congress and the 10 years of BRS Governance.

He said that the land prices in Shadnagar increased once the metro rail was announced and added that Shadnagar would be developed on a greater scale once the BRS won the upcoming polls.
