BJP only good at mixing ‘Akshintalu’, ‘Teertham’, Congress at making false promises: KCR
KCR in a scathing attack against the BJP has said that the saffron party is good at mixing turmeric with rice to make ‘Akshintalu’ and ‘Teertham’ to influence only a section of the people without developing the State and the country.
BHUVANAGIRI: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao in a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the saffron party is good at mixing turmeric with rice to make ‘Akshintalu’ and ‘Teertham’ to influence only a section of the people without developing the State and the country.
Addressing a huge street corner meeting at Bhuvanagiri on Thursday on the second day of his ‘Poru Baata Bus Yatra’ KCR asked the people to think and vote with maturity.
“Till the day I am alive, I fight for Telangana. The BJP arrested my daughter in a false case but I am not afraid, I will fight for secularism till the last breath," KCR said.
“BJP ruled the country for 10 years. Narendra Modi promised Make in India and Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas. But there are 18 lakh vacant jobs across the country,” he said. On the other hand, the Prime Minister gave a call for ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ but atrocities on women in the BJP-ruled States skyrocketed, particularly Dalit and poor women were targeted, KCR pointed out. On the economic front, the BJP failed which was evident by the falling value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar.
“While BJP seeks vote on God's name, Revanth Reddy takes oaths in the name of local deities. We built Yadadri but never used that for votes,” KCR said.
Countering the propaganda that the BRS was the BJP’s B team, he said that in Bhuvanagiri the Municipal chairman and vice chairman posts were shared by the Congress and the BJP.
“Saffron flags won't feed your stomachs and irrigate farms with water. The BJP fined Telangana Rs 25,000 crore for not fixing meters for agriculture pumps. If you vote for them the BJP will fix meters,” KCR cautioned the public.
He recalled that despite his emotional appeal to the Prime Minister he didn’t grant a single Navodaya school or a medical college to the newborn State of Telangana. He said the BJP Government snatched seven mandals and the 400 MW Sileru project from Telangana and handed them over to AP.
While assuring the people that he would safeguard the interests of Telangana as long as he lived, KCR said that he would fight for secularism till his last breath. "If Muslim brethren vote for the Congress that will help he BJP," KCR added.
“We have completed the Baswapur project to irrigate Aleru and Bhuvanagiri, and gave MSP for paddy and other crops, now there is no Rytu Bandhu, If given it will be under several conditions. Why conditions, Is that Revanth Reddy’s property,” KCR said. He criticised the Government for the tardy paddy procurement in the State. “These Congress people are waste fellows. Power outages started the minute I stepped down as CM” KCR noted.
He said that over 225 farmers died of suicide after Revanth Reddy became CM. “We used to give Rs 5 lakh for the kin of the farmers under ‘Rytu Bima’. I have sent the list of the farmers to Revanth Reddy within four hours but none of the cabinet Ministers reached out to the farmer's families,” KCR rued.
Recalling the schemes introduced by Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy but continued by the BRS Government he said that the Revanth Reddy Government had fee reimbursement.
“More than 130 students fell sick due to food poisoning in Government schools, four died. There is no job calendar, no unemployment dole, no Rs 500 bonus for paddy, there is no meg DSC, np 200 units free power, no free scooties and Rs 2,500 for women,” KCR said.
