ARANGAL: If the Bharatiya Janata Party is voted to power in Telangana in the next Assembly elections, the first signature the government would append would be on filling up of all vacant jobs in the state, state BJP president Bandi Sanjay announced on Saturday.

Addressing a massive rally of the unemployed youth – titled as “Nirudyoga March” from Kakatiya University chowrastha to Ambedkar statue in Hanamkonda, Sanjay said it was his promise that the first task that would be taken up by the BJP, if it comes to power, would be filling up of two lakh vacancies in various government departments.

“Irrespective of whoever becomes the Chief Minister, the first signature would be on the file pertaining to filling up of job vacancies,” he announced.

Stating that he was taking up the cudgels on behalf of the millions of unemployed youths from the same place where he was arrested by the police illegally, the BJP president said KCR had remained silent even though the leakage of question papers in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) had jeopardised the lives of 30 lakh youth.

“If there is no fault on the part of the government, why is it hesitating to order a judicial inquiry by a sitting high court judge into the question paper leakage? It is pretty clear that KCR is trying to protect his son, who is responsible for the leakage. He should be sacked from the cabinet immediately,” he demanded.

Sanjay also found fault with KCR’s daughter and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha for showing lame excuses saying that she had suffered fracture only to avoid being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate. “Why are there different laws for KCR family members and common people?” he asked.

He said KCR had never responded when the people were suffering – whether it was the suicide of Sunil Naik as he was unable to get jobs or the deaths of RTC workers or Intermediate students. “Why did we struggle to get Telangana state? In 2014 itself, the KCR government abolished 25,000 jobs. Though the Biswal Committee put the figure of vacant jobs at 1.91 lakhs, the government did not choose to fill up the same but had been dodging the same,” he criticised.

He demanded that the Chief Minister immediately tender an unconditional apology to the unemployed for the TSPSC question paper leakage and order a judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court judge.

“His son K T Rama Rao should either resign or be sacked from the Cabinet. The government should pay a compensation of Rs 1 lakh each to the unemployed youths for the loss caused to them due to question paper leakage,” he said.

Sanjay announced that another march of the unemployed would be held at Mahabubnagar on April 21, followed by in all the other district headquarters. Subsequently, the party would organise a million march in Hyderabad, he asserted.

He also demanded sacking of TSPSC chairman and other members. “We shall expose conspiracies of KCR in this whole scam,” the BJP leader asserted.
