HYDERABAD: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Nizamabad on Monday, Telangana IT Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday questioned the Prime Minister about unfulfilled promises made during the bifurcation of the State.

Tweeting on X, KTR question, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, you are coming to Telangana for the second time in a gap of three days but what about the three promises made to us during bifurcation? When will our Kazipet coach factory start functioning? When will our Bayyaram steel plant be built? When will our Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project get national status?" KTR asked.

The Minister added that the BJP-ruled Centre not just fooled the people of Telangana but the entire nation of false promises.

"Its been 10 years. How long will you keep lying? In your ten-year rule, not only 4 crore people of Telangana, but 140 crore Indians have been cheated. You promised that by 2022, farmers' income will double, everyone in the country will have their own houses, that your will create two crore jobs every year and petrol prices will be controlled. Except for the assurances given to your friend, have you fulfilled your promise to the people of the country?," KTR asked adding "During your ten-year rule as Prime Minister, apart from fulfilling the promises for Adani, what has the common man got?"

Terming the promise of establishing the Turmeric Board in Telangana as a poll gimmick, KTR said, "Even your promise to establish the turmeric board will meet the same fate as reservation for women. All the commotion will only be during elections and then not body will be sure about the implementation of those promises," KTR said.

Stating that the BJP's defeat is certain in the upcoming elections, KTR concluded, "If our three main promises are not fulfilled, BJP will be demolished in the upcoming elections. The party is guaranteed to lose deposits once again in atleast a hundred constituencies."
