HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has said that his party has learnt a thing or two from the 2018 elections and will ensure that BJP will not even a single seat in the upcoming polls.

Addressing media at the Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, KTR said, "We will ensure that the BJP will be defeated and will not win a single seat. Only the BRS is powerful enough to stop the BJP. The Congress has fielded dummy candidates in Raja Singh in Goshamahal, Bandi Sanjay in Karimnagar and Dharmapuri Arvind in Korutla against the BJP."

Responding to the criticism by the Congress about the Election Commission of India (ECI) granting permission to the Telangana Goverment for distributing Rythu Bandhu, KTR said, "Rythu Bandhu is not a new scheme. The election code will not apply to ongoing schemes. Why does Revanth Reddy want to stop money being deposited in farmers' accounts? There is nothing wrong if PM Kisan funds are given by the Centre, but is it wrong if Rythu Bandhu is given? Why will the Congress not question that aspect?"

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's claims of unemployment crisis in Telangana, KTR asked, "Rahul Gandhi has been unemployed since 2014. I will challenge Rahul to show me one State which has provided more jobs than Telangana in the last 10 years. The Congress in Karnataka had promised one lakh jobs would be filled in Karnataka within a year. But even six months of coming to power, now not a single notification has been issued there."

KTR urged the BRS cadres to organise celebrations across the State on November 29 on the 14th anniversary of KCR Deeksha Divas. It was on November 29, 2009, that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) launched an indefinite hunger strike as part of his efforts to achieve Telangana State.
