BRS clears nominations for three more seats, keeps Goshamahal pending
The BRS cleared three more names on Sunday, adding to the list of 115 seats declared on August 21, 2023, out of the 119 in the run-up to the Assembly elections slated for November 30
HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) cleared three more names on Sunday, adding to the list of 115 seats declared on August 21, 2023, out of the 119 in the run-up to the Assembly elections slated for November 30.
The party will field Telangana Women’s Commission Chairperson Vakiti Sunitha Laxma Reddy for the Narsapur Assembly seat. It has nominated Palle Rajeshwar Reddy for the Janagaon seat, by accommodating the main contender Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy as chairman of TSRTC.
The BRS nominated Marri Rajasekhar Reddy the son-in-law of Minister Ch Malla Reddy for the high-profile Malkajgiri Assembly constituency. Rajasekhar Reddy will take on Mynampally Hanumanth Rao who recently migrated to the Congress from the BRS. The BRS candidate has the money and muscle power to give a tough fight to Mynampally.
On the other hand, the BRS has not declared its candidate for the Goshamahal constituency. The party might declare its candidate after the fate of the beleaguered Raja Singh is decided by the BJP. His request for dismissal of the suspension of party membership for his extreme rightist activity is pending with the BJP leadership.
