BRS Government ‘bhoomi donga’, Dharani big scam: Prakash Javadekar
Javadekar said that land records software was developed by the Union Government and was extended to the States for use at their end according to their convenience.
HYDERABAD: BJP MP, former minister and Telangana in-charge Prakash Javadekar called the state government ‘bhoomi donga’ accusing that a huge chunk of the land went missing and thousands of farmers lost their land through the Dharani portal.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Friday, he said that people have lost their lands in the absence of land records. “No grama Sabha was held to validate land records. No field visit to check the land boundaries. Village revenue officers were posted somewhere else. Other than Dharani there are no land records. What happened to physical land records? Where had they gone?” he said.
Accusing the BRS Government of handing over the maintenance of the land records to a foreign company, Javadekar said that land records software was developed by the Union Government and was extended to the States for use at their end according to their convenience. “In Telangana TCS used to organise the software, but it had left, and the responsibility was entrusted to TerraCIS Technologies, a foreign private company in data mining,” he said.
Not only lands, but the entire government and private persons' data went into private hands, Javadekar alleged. Who are the shareholders and partners in the company,” Javadekar wanted to know. Accusing that government lands, temple lands, Bhudan lands, assigned lands, ED seized lands and lakes went missing and the Government itself turned as ‘bhoomi donga 'by bringing the Dharani portal.
Assuring that these lands would be resumed to their original owners and those responsible for missing lands would be punished after coming to power, Javadekar said that those missing lands could lodge a complaint with the BJP. He has also provided WhatsApp numbers to forward the complaints.
