BRS protests in Kodangal against Congress for changing stance on Rythu Bharosa, demands apology from CM Revanth Reddy.
HYDERABAD: The BRS party staged widespread protests on Sunday in response to comments made by Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, accusing the Congress government of reneging on its promises related to the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
Following a call by BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao, party workers took to the streets in large numbers, blocking roads in protest.
One of the major demonstrations occurred in Daulatabad mandal, located in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s home constituency of Kodangal. At the Ambedkar Chowrasta in Daulatabad, BRS leaders, joined by farmers, led a protest accusing the Congress government of betraying the farming community.
Chanting slogans like "Revanth Reddy Down Down," the protesters demanded a public apology from the Chief Minister for failing to deliver on the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The BRS party expressed strong displeasure over the alleged change in stance, calling on the Congress to fulfil its promises to the farmers.
