“We also demanded the Government on speedy implementation of the six guarantees. The PPT presented by the Irrigation Minister was loaded with false information to mislead the house,” he said. He pointed out that the Speaker did not give them a chance to present their point of view with the help of a PPT presentation.

He said that the BRS from its side had released a fact sheet on irrigation for the benefit of the people of the State. “I never said that CAG reports were false, I only said that Manmohan Singh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, and N Kiran Kumar Reddy negated CAG reports, But the same CAG appreciated us many a time,” he added.

Harish Rao criticised the State Government for trying it utilise Kaleshwaram for political and electoral gains in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. “Instead of raking up emotions, the Congress Government must concentrate on governance, particularly the welfare of farmers. The whole white paper affair proved to be a self-goal. The Irrigation Minister did not disclose full information, particularly on new ayacut and stabilisation.

Harish Rao said that the Congress Government had failed to release irrigation water, power, and Rytu Bandhu in time for the farmers. He pointed out that eight Ministers tried to obstruct his flow during the debate as they had no answers to the questions he posed.
