PEDDAPALLI: If the Congress party wins power in the state, it will scrap the Dharani portal and stop providing 24-hour electricity, said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday in Manthani, Peddapalli district.

"We will grant Rs. 1,000 crores budget for development of Manthani constituency if BRS candidate Putta Mandhu wins here in Telangana State Assembly Elections 2023. Putta Madhu is an excellent leader who has done much for this constituency, but you did not vote for him. I'm sure you're all aware that the Ring Road, which was started during PV Narasimha Rao's tenure, was only completed after Putta Madhu's arrival, and Congress was least bothered about it. So please do not vote irresponsibly, " KCR said while addressing a Praja Ashirvad Sabha in Manthani.

KCR said that there were many inadequate roads and river bridges in Manthani villages, but Putta Madhu met with him, obtained funds, and completed a 100-kilometer road in a backward area in Manthani.

KCR said BRS Government initiated the Rythu Bandhu scheme for farmer development, and farmers are reaping the benefits of Rythu Bandhu, whereas Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed Rythu Bandhu was an unnecessary expenditure. He asked the audience if they wanted Rythu Bandhu or not, and everyone raised their hands.

"The BRS government, which understands the hardships of farmers, introduced farmer-friendly schemes to stabilise agriculture in the State. We provide 24 hour electricity in our state, but even Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat has failed to provide 24-hour electricity. The Congress ruled the country for 50 years, but did they ever care about the farmers? Did they ever implement farming schemes like Rythu Bandhu? I doubt they can even pay Rs. 1,000 in pensions, " said the Chief Minister.

"After I leave Manthani today, all the BC and SC families should meet at their homes to discuss why a strong BC leader like Putta Madhu should be troubled. I hope the BCs are united because they rarely get chances, and now that he has a chance, you all should make him win" he added.
