RAMAGUNDAM: "The Congress government wouldn't last long, and the BRS would come to power again," declared BRS President and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to a cheering crowd of thousands at a roadshow in Ramagundam in the Peddapally parliament constituency on Friday night.

In his brief yet impactful speech, KCR highlighted the unfulfilled promises made by the Congress government and criticised the central BJP government for its perceived failures. He pointed out that Congress had not delivered on its promise to provide Rs 2,500 per month to women, nor had it implemented the crop loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers.

KCR noted that the hearts of both Congress and BJP leaders were gripped with fear due to his bus yatra. He suggested that this fear had led to a conspiracy between Congress and the BJP to stop his campaign, resulting in a 48-hour ban on his public appearances.

"After 48 hours, my forbidden voice spoke again. They tried to silence me, but they will fail," KCR asserted.

KCR said that the use of religion in political campaigning and derogatory language was prohibited. He criticised the Election Commission of India for failing to take action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who were repeatedly using Hindu-Muslim rhetoric. Similarly, he noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had used derogatory language against BRS leaders. Despite complaints, no action was taken against the BJP leaders or Revanth Reddy, but the Election Commission imposed a 48-hour ban on his campaign when he raised concerns about the plight of handloom workers and demanded the payment of Rs 370 crore in pending bills.

"After I started my bus tour, the hearts of Congress and BJP began to tremble. They conspired to stop me. I arrived here two hours ago, but I came out after 8:15 PM because of the ban," KCR explained.

He also accused Congress and BJP of conspiring to privatise the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), suggesting that their goal was to hand over control to corporate entities like the Adani Group. KCR said that when Congress was in power, they mismanaged SCCL, turning it into a loss-making entity, but his government had transformed it into a profitable enterprise. He warned that if Congress regained power, they would again mismanage SCCL and move towards privatisation.

KCR urged people to vote for BRS candidates in the Lok Sabha election to prevent such privatisation. He also reminded the audience about the social welfare programs his party had implemented for minority communities, including residential schools for poor students. He noted that these programs, as well as the annual Ramzan Tohfa, had been halted after Congress came to power.

KCR advised the Muslim community not to be swayed by Congress, pointing out that the party was in third place in Peddapally. If Muslims voted for Congress, he warned, the BJP would likely win the seat. He emphasised that BRS had consistently supported minority welfare, while Congress had neglected these initiatives.
