BRS working president KTR slams Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for empty promises
KTR addressed a BRS public meeting in Alampur under the Nagar Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday
NAGARKURNOOL: Telangana's former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KTR on Tuesday accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of being a fraudster who deceived the citizens of Telangana with his false promises. KTR alleged that Reddy has failed to fulfill his 420 assurances and has not delivered on his promises and guarantees.
Addressing a BRS public meeting in Alampur under the Nagar Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency, KTR said, "Revanth made numerous promises, including providing Rs. 2,500 pensions to women and Rs. 4,000 to senior citizens. If Revanth Reddy is sincere, he should address issues like loan waivers, which he promised but failed to deliver. Despite assurances of free scooters, loan waivers, tulam gold, and women's pensions, nothing has materialised. People are outraged by the Congress government's inaction. Didn't Reddy promise to waive loans up to two lakhs by December 9, 2023? Now, he claims it will happen by August 15, 2024."
"Despite losing in Telangana elections 2023, we secured 39 seats, with only 14 lost by a narrow margin. Voters have entrusted us with the responsibility of being the opposition and advocating for their interests. Congress leaders are disrespecting 75-year-old KCR with defamatory remarks, despite his poor healt," he added.
Speaking about RS Praveen Kumar, KTR said, "While many deserted us after we lost power, Praveen Kumar joined our party during challenging times. Formerly known as RS Praveen Kumar, he is now BRS Praveen Kumar. Despite offers from the Congress party, he chose to join the BRS. Praveen Kumar believes in development through education, effectively leading the gurus and benefiting thousands. If he achieved so much as an official, imagine his potential as a public representative. His candidacy sparked optimism, suggesting significant changes if we secure 8 to 10 seats."
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to deliver for the country. When questioned about their contributions to Nagarkurnool, the BJP remains silent, resorting to religious politics. The allocation of Krishna water remains unresolved. Modi has not sanctioned a single medical college or Navodaya school, despite promises. He pledged Jandhan accounts and Rs. 15 lakhs for all, yet failed to deliver. His promises of creating two crore jobs and doubling farmer's incomes remain unfulfilled. Modi's appeal for votes by invoking religion is divisive."
"We have also contributed by building Yadagiri Gutta without politicising religion," said KTR.
"KCR always prioritised the welfare of the poor and the state. Losing power should not discourage us. If we secure 10 MPs from Telangana, our voice will be heard in the Lok Sabha. We must strive for this, as the true guardian of Telangana is the BRS," KTR concluded.
