HYDERABAD: Former Minister T Harish Rao criticised the Congress for not fulfilling their promises and spreading false information. He said that K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) provided 24 hours of electricity and took a jibe at the Congress party's new policy asking whether the new policy would bring 48 hours of electricity.
Speaking at the Mahabubabad Parliamentary level meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Harish Rao mentioned former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for working hard to protect Telangana, which was achieved through prolonged struggle. “When Telangana was formed, the conditions were difficult, but now the state has developed in various sectors such as education, medicine, agriculture, and roads,” he observed.
He also mentioned that the Congress party had made false claims about free electricity. He said the Congress party deceived people with false promises and could not deliver anything in the one month of rule and created hurdles for people with the submission of applications for welfare schemes.

Harish Rao urged everyone to work hard in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and assured support from the party. He mentioned that if anyone has a problem, the party will come to them and resolve it. He also emphasized that BRS should win the next election to protect the interests of Telangana and asked the cadre not to worry saying that it is just a speed breaker.
He criticised the BJP state president G Kishan Reddy for not launching any projects for the state and highlighted the importance of BRS in protecting the interests of Telangana. He also criticised the Congress party for not implementing their promises and creating drama about corruption.
Harish Rao mentioned that a trust would be set up to protect activists and a legal cell would be established to protect them from illegal cases. He called for strengthening the party by forming mandal and district committees. He said that the party was built on the foundations of sacrifices and winning and losing was not something new for the party
