HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar slammed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday asking whether the people of Secunderabad's Cantonment area were from Pakistan or Bangladesh, for they were not being provided proper drainage, roads and other infrastructure.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was on his padayatra in the Cantonment constituency as part of the Praja Sangrama Yatra, addressed the people at the Double Bedroom Housing Colony in Marredpally. He said he strongly objected to KCR's attitude towards the cantonment areas and alleged that welfare schemes were not being implemented there. He also vowed that he would ensure the release of Rs 700 crore funds from the Centre for the development of the area.

The MP accused the TRS Government of failing to build double bedroom houses, despite the Centre having sanctioned the funds for 2,40,000 houses. Taking a jibe at KCR's decision of naming the new secretariat after Dr. BR Ambedkar, Bandi Sanjay said that KCR did that only to divert the people's attention from the Delhi Liquor Scam.

Also, Bandi Sanjay questioned KCR as to why he did not celebrate the State Liberation Day for the last eight years and said that the latter was only celebrating the Liberation Day for political gains.
