Popular Tollywood hero Venu has registered a complaint against CM Ramesh for misappropriation of funds worth Rs 450 crore in PCL joint venture company.
Based on Venu's complaint, the Jubilee Hills police registered a forgery case against CM Ramesh.
The police have now transferred Venu's complaint to the Central Crime Station. Kavuri Bhaskar Rao testified on behalf of actor Venu in this case.
Meanwhile, it has recently come to light that CM Ramesh family-owned Rithwik Projects Private Ltd (RPPL) had donated Rs 30 crore to the Congress through electoral bonds.
RPPL had secured a Rs 1,098 crore engineering, procurement and construction contract for a hydroelectric project in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh. RPPL had also donated Rs 5 crore to the TDP on Jan 27, 2023. Ramesh had quit the TDP and joined the BJP in 2019. RPPL also donated 10 crore to Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka.
