Case on TPCC chief Revanth Reddy for asking naxalites to blast Pragathi Bhavan
A case has reportedly been registered against Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President A Revanth Reddy for his incendiary comments against Pragathi Bhavan
HYDERABAD: A case has reportedly been registered against Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A Revanth Reddy for his incendiary comments against Pragathi Bhavan. The Senior Congress leader made these comments during a public meeting in Mulugu of Telangana on Tuesday night as part of his Haath se Haath Jodo padayatra.
While addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy alleged that the Pragathi Bhavan that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had built, was inaccessible to the common man. In the same breath, he wondered how it would matter if such a place remained in existence or even if it would be blown up by the Naxalites.
Revanth Reddy’s comments evoked widespread outrage and shock, mainly from the leaders and cadre of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. A few of the ruling party leaders reportedly lodged a complaint with the Mulugu police demanding stern action against the TPCC chief.
As reports claimed, based on the complaints, a case has been registered against Revanth Reddy under relevant sections by the Mulugu police.
Pragathi Bhavan is the official residence cum office of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Will not be intimidated by cases: Revanth Reddy
Meanwhile, reacting to the development, Revanth Reddy said on Wednesday that he would not be intimidated by the case registered against him. Stating that he was not new to facing cases, he claimed that those who hated Telangana had been installed in Pragathi Bhavan. He also mocked Warangal strongman Errabelli Dayakar Rao, saying that a person who did not even know the alphabets was made a minister.
