HYDERABAD: YSRCP Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy moved the Supreme Court appealing to include the name of Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the 2015 ‘Cash for vote’ case.

The YCP MLA appealed to the Apex court that the name of Naidu was mentioned 22 times in the chargesheet filed by Telangana ACB and his name must be included in the case. The Supreme Court will hear this case on October 3.

The political scandal started off when Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader A Revanth Reddy was caught in video footage, aired in the media, offering bribes to a BRS (then TRS) nominated MLA, Elvis Stephenson, for his vote in the 2015 elections of the Telangana Legislative Council. In a phone call to the MLC, Naidu allegedly offered him a bribe to cross-vote.
