Chandrababu Naidu's arrest has no consequence in Telangana, says KTR
KTR added that, "I don't have enmity with anyone in Andhra Pradesh. Nara Lokesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pawan Kalyan are all my friends."
HYDERABAD: Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) distanced himself and refused to comment on the arrest of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing a press conference in Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, KTR said, "What is happening with Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh is a clash of wits between two political parties. It has no consequence in Telangana and its people. So there is no need for me to comment on it."
When asked about why IT employees, who were taking out protests against the arrest of Naidu, being blocked in Hyderabad, KTR said, "How can someone take out rallies in Telangana for a political event in Andhra Pradesh? It's like 'Begani Shaadi Mein Abdullah Deewana'. If they want to take out rally, they can do so in Rajahmundry, Amaravati or Vijayawada but not in Hyderabad. We run the Government here and we are responsible for the law and order enforcement. We will not let that happen."
KTR added that, "I don't have enmity with anyone in Andhra Pradesh. Nara Lokesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pawan Kalyan are all my friends. Lokesh reached out to me through a common friend. But I told him that we will be neutral and not accord perimission for any protests. "
