Chief Minister Revanth Reddy signs six guarantees, Rajani files, to hold Praja Darbar tomorrow
Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy recalled the sacrifices of people from different sections of the society in the formation of a separate State
HYDERABAD: Terming the demolition of barricades at Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of the Telangana Chief Minister, as the liberation of the people of Telangana, Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy in his maiden address to the people of the State said that he will hold a ‘Praja Darbar’ at the ‘,’ at 10 am on Friday.
Addressing the public at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad immediately after taking oath as the third Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy recalled the sacrifices of people from different sections of the society in the formation of a separate State.
“The State is formed on the foundation of sacrifices. There are many aspirations like freedom for all four crore people and equitable development from Asifabad to Alampur and Khammam to Kodangal. The Congress Government under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge will fulfill the demands of the people,” Revanth Reddy said.
Congress under Sonia gave Telangana, but for a decade, democracy was murdered in Telangana, the Chief Minister pointed out. “People bore the indifference of the ruling Government silently for a decade. People gave victory to Congress now, and I dedicate this to students, unemployed, farmers, women, and weaker sections of society,” he said.
Promising the people that the Congress Government would usher in an ‘Indiramma Rajyam’ in Telangana he said that the new State Cabinet would bring speedy social justice. He said that the iron barricades of the ‘Pragathi Bhavan’ were demolished so that people could enter and meet the Chief Minister without fear, any time of the day.
“Welfare and development will be my promises. Tomorrow there will be ‘Praja Darbar’ at 10 am at the newly christened Jyothirao Phule Praja Bhavan. The Congress will be with the poor and helpless. I will take care of you and also develop the State,” Revanth Reddy promised the people. He assured the public that he would prove that the Government would serve but not boss around the poor.
