Chief Secretary inspects Independence Day arrangements at Golkonda Fort

HYDERABAD: Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari visited Golkonda Fort on Monday to inspect the arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. She directed officials to ensure foolproof arrangements in a befitting manner.
The main attraction of this year's Independence Day celebrations will be the large participation of cultural troupes, who will be performing in their traditional attires, showcasing the state's rich and varied cultural heritage. According to the Director of Culture, Harikrishna, more than one thousand artists from various art forms such as Gussadi, Kommu Koya, Lambadi, Dappulu, Oggu Dollu, Kolatam, Bonalu Kolatam, Bhaindla Jamidikal, Chindu Yaksha Gaanam, Karrasaamu, Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam, Perni, and Nagara Bheri will participate in the celebrations. Additionally, school children from various schools will be brought in to kindle the spirit of patriotism among them.
The Chief Secretary instructed the police department to make proper security and traffic arrangements to avoid any inconvenience to the public. All line departments were told to work in close coordination to organise the event in a grand manner.
DGP Jitender, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Director Protocol Venkat Rao, CIPR Hanumantha Rao, and other officials were also present.
