HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the death of prominent national leader and CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on Thursday. Conveying his heartfelt condolences to Yechury's family, the Chief Minister prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Revanth Reddy praised Yechury’s fighting spirit, calling it an inspiration for all. He said that the veteran leader's death was an irreparable loss to Indian politics. The Chief Minister remembered Yechury’s long political journey, which began in his student days and spanned over four decades of active national politics.

The Chief Minister highlighted Yechury’s role as a Rajya Sabha MP, CPM politburo member, economist, and social worker, noting that he was a well-known figure throughout the country for his contributions to both politics and society.
