Coal mine workers hold protests in Ramagundam

HYDERABAD: Workers of Adriyala longwall coal mine, a mine operated by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd, are protesting for the mine work to be laid off in view of the rains in the state.

One of the workers said, "They are operating the mine by putting our lives at risk. Works at the other divisions were laid off because of rain. There is water all around us too. The management should announce a lay-off at our division too."

The workers, on Thursday, started their protest outside the coal mine in Ramagundam.
