NEW DELHI: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders have requested the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that all cash transfer programmes in the State are completed before the notification for the Assembly elections is released on November 3, 2023.

Speaking in New Delhi on Thursday, TPCC president Revanth Reddy raised concerns regarding retired bureaucrats who are perceived to be favoring the BRS party. These officials, Congress leaders claimed, hold influential positions for an extended period, and that there are pressuring business houses to provide financial support to the BRS party.

Revanth specifically requested the removal of DGP Anjani Kumar, accusing him of colluding with the BRS, BJP, and MIM parties. He referred to these parties as the 'chaddi gang' and alleged that the Centre would work to support the BRS party in the elections.

Speaking in the meeting, Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar Reddy pointed out that Government buildings were being used for BRS party activities and claimed that some officers have been favoring the BRS party for almost a decade. He has also alleged that the Chief Minister's official residence was being used for party activities.

CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka accused the BRS of misleading the public and has informed the EC about their concerns. He claimed that whenever they made a statement, the BRS party spread false propaganda.
