NIRMAL: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has launched a scathing attack against the Congress leaders and said that while the aim of BRS is to uplift the downtrodden in the society, the is trying to put a spoke in the development wheel.

Speaking at a public meeting in Nirmal on Tuesday, blamed the Congress for its plan to scrap the Rythu Bandhu Scheme.

"Rythu Bandhu was not introduced for the sake of elections. No protests took place in the State and no one urged me to come up with some policy like Rythu Bandhu. We have worked hard for the welfare of farmers and then came up with the idea of Rythu Bandhu," he said.

Sharing that the Congress also intended to scrap the Dharani portal, KCR asked, "Do you want Dharani Portal or do you need 'Dalari Palana' (broker system) in the State? Congress doesn't want to give either Rythu Bandhu or electricity round the clock to farmers. But the BRS Government never neglected Girijans, distributed Podu Pattas, gave 'Rythu Bandhu' and 3-phase current as well."

KCR urged voters to extend support for a leader who worked for welfare of the people. "Every party has its own history and people should think what is the prime motto of that party. BRS is such a party which was formed to protect the water, revenue, and employment of Telangana State," the Chief Minister asserted.

"If Telangana State wouldn't have been formed, will there be Nirmal district? Four districts have been formed from the united Adilabad district. Indrakaran Reddy is behind the formation of Nirmal district," said KCR.

If Congress wins there will only only be vultures

In a meeting at Dharmapuri, KCR criticised that the Congress had ruled the State for over 50 years but had done nothing and were now urging the public to give them another chance in the upcoming polls.

"If it happens then there will only be rabhandhulu (vultures) in the State but not one will think about Rythu Bandhu," said KCR.
