The elections are scheduled to be held on February 27, 2024 as the term of BRS MPs Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, Badugula Lingaiah Yadav and Vaddiraju Ravichandra, who were all elected in 2018, comes to end this year.

The Congress, which has 64 MLAs, can ensure an easy victory of its two candidates. Even the BRS which has 39 MLAs can get one candidate elected without any hassle. As many as 30.5 votes are required for each party ensure the victory of its candidates in Telangana.

It would be interesting to see if the Congress fields a third candidate. As things appear, the election seems to be unanimous for all the three candidates.
