Congress gears up for Munugode by-election campaigns

HYDERABAD: Ahead of the Munugode by-election, the Congress party activists, bestowed with the responsibilities are said to have drawn up a plan for the by-election campaign from Thursday. The Congress party is set to run their campaign in all villages. The party also plans to campaign door to door from September 1 to 6.
TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, former ministers Jana Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka and Madhu Yashki are scheduled to organize a press meet on September 3.
Speaking to the media, Revanth Reddy demanded the dismissal of Health Minister Harish Rao from the Cabinet and held him responsible for the death of four women due to failure of family planning operations in Ibrahipatanam. The TPCC Chief also asked the party leaders to take the issue to national level and register a complaint in the National Commission for Women. "All these are government murders," added the TPCC Chief. He also demanded that the government must support their families and sanction Rs 1 crore to each family as compensation.
