Congress leading in majority of seats in Telangana

Congress is leading on 8 seats, followed by BJP on 7 seats.

HYDERABAD: The Congress party is leading in eight out of 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.

According to early trends, the Congress was ahead in eight seats, followed by the BJP with leads in seven seats. The BRS and MIM each led in one seat.

The Congress is leading in Peddapalle, Zahirabad, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Bhongir, Warangal, Mahabubabad, and Khammam. The BJP is leading in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Chevella, and Mahbubnagar. The BRS is leading in Medak, while the MIM is leading in Hyderabad.

In the Secunderabad constituency, Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy is leading by 33,184 votes against his nearest rival, Danam Nagender of the Congress.

In several constituencies, the lead is changing after each round of polling. Therefore, significant changes are expected until the completion of counting.
