HYDERABAD: Senior Congress party leaders visited the Gachibowli stadium on Wednesday, in their search for the right venue for the proposed public meeting on September 17 as a part of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Hyderabad.

AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, Telangana in-charge Manikrao Thakre, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka were among the senior party leaders that visited the stadium. The TPCC has planned a huge public meeting where the party manifesto for the ensuing elections and five guarantees will be released.

Following confusion over the allotment of Secunderabad Parade Grounds, as it clashed with the BJP’s liberation day celebrations on the same day, the Congress started looking out for alternatives. Its leaders had already sought permission for LB Stadium and the Parade Grounds.
