Congress to implement 'Bhumetha' not 'Bhumatha', says KCR
KCR said, "There is a lot of hungama at the time of elections and these are not ordinary elections. It is the fight to protect the rights of people."
STATION GHANPUR: BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday came down heavily on Congress leaders for saying that the party, if voted to power, would abolish Dharani portal and replace it with ‘Bhumata’ which was being claimed as a better land management portal. He termed 'Bhumatha' as 'Bhumetha'.
Speaking at a public meeting in Station Ghanpur, KCR promised the RTC employees that Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) would be merged with the State Government, the next day after the election results were announced in Telangana and added "RTC Bill has been passed but it got delayed as Governor Tamilisai did not give her assent to the draft Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill, 2023."
Rao said that the Congress leaders were creating ruckus regarding loan waiver in Telangana and added, "Farm loan waiver would have been completed long back but during Corona lockdown, the State Government's income diminished. So, the loan waiver got delayed. We have already waived crop loans up to Rs. 1 lakh and 4 to 5 percent of farmers didn't get crop loan waiver, we will complete it soon."
KCR urged the voters to see the history of the party from which the elected leader was from. He added, "There is a lot of hungama at the time of elections and these are not ordinary elections. It is the fight to protect the rights of people."
Recalling the 'Idli Sambar Go Back' movement, KCR also mentioned about the 'Fazal Ali Commission' and added that Telangana was merged into Andhra against the wish of Telangana people.
Elaborating how Telangana's situation was before the separate State was formed, Rao said that, "Welfare of the poor was our prime consideration. Later, we have come up with new schemes for the upliftment of various sections of the society. I wanted the destitute to eat at least dal and rice, if not Biryani. So, the pension was increased from hundreds to thousands in Telangana."
Rao mentioned about Chukka Sathaiah a famous Oggu Katha artiste, and told how he had dug 58 bore wells but didn't get water. KCR lambasted the Congress leaders for not thinking of giving water to Telangana which was located amidst Krishna and Godavari rivers.
BRS president said that Kadiyam Srihari was given ticket from Station Ghanpur but promised the people that Thatikonda Rajaiah would be given equal prominence in the party.
