NAGARKURNOOL: Key portfolios such as land, Sand and liquor, which deal with large sums of money, are under the control of Chief Minister KCR and his family, and public funds are being looted, said Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.

While addressing Vijayabheri Sabha at Kalwakurthy in Telangana Rahul Gandhi said, "Elections in Telangana are approaching, and this time elections are between ‘Prajala Telangana’ and ‘Dorala Telangana’. On one side, it's Chief Minister KCR's and his family, and on the other, we stand with the people of Telangana, the mothers, sisters, and unemployed youth. We all saw a Telangana state dream, but citizens of Telangana have been ignored by one family that is trying to rule Telangana State.

"KCR and his family have robbed the people of crores of rupees, causing the state to go bankrupt. Every Telangana family will have to contribute Rs. 31,500 per year until 2040 to repay this debt. Dalits, Tribals, and Backward Classes have been given lakhs of acres of land by Congress. Telangana's people always adored the Congress Party and Indira Gandhi. On the other hand, the ‘Dorala Sarkar’ has used the Dharani portal to exploit poor people's lands, affecting over 20 lakh farmers while benefiting only KCR's family and his ministers, " said Rahul Gandhi.

He said, "Revanth Reddy has said ‘bye bye KCR’, but the question remains about the money he looted from the public. First, KCR will be dethroned from the Chief Minister's seat, and then he will be held accountable for the money he looted. We have decided that the amount KCR has looted from the people of Telangana will be returned to the people. I am not Narendra Modi, whenever I make a promise, it will be fulfilled. The amount of money that KCR looted from the people of Telangana would be returned to the people of Telangana by Congress,” said Rahul Gandhi.

He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured people to deposit Rs. 15 lakhs in everyone's accounts, which didn't happen, while Adani received lakhs of crores in his accounts. "The relationship with the people of Telangana is like a family, with a history dating back to Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and our entire political family, " Rahul Gandhi added.

The BRS, the BJP, and the AIMIM parties were collaborating, with the BRS supporting the BJP in crucial Bills like GST and Farmers' Bills in the Lok Sabha. The BJP attacked opposition leaders with ED and IT raids but no cases were filed against KCR, indicating a clear collaboration between KCR and Modi, he added.

Rahul Gandhi said his parliament membership was cancelled and he even was forced to vacate his official residence, but he did not care as he considered entire country his home and many people would welcome him to their homes if needed.

He said, "The AIMIM is also indirectly supporting the BJP, as it encourages the AIMIM to field candidates in certain places. Voting for the MIM or the BJP is ultimately in vain, as it benefits the BRS. We will defeat the BJP and the BRS in Telangana elections and will also defeat the BJP in Delhi in general elections in 2024. The BJP is also destined to lose in 2024 at the national level, " said Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress would provide Rs. 2,500 to all married women in Telangana under the ‘Mahalaxmi’ scheme, recognizing women as the country's backbone. The Congress would also offer gas cylinders at a minimal cost of Rs. 500 and free bus travel for all women in Telangana, a significant cost-saving measure, said Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress would also offer Rs. 15,000 per acre to Telangana farmers and Rs. 12,000 per year to farm laborers, recognizing them as the country's backbone. The Congress would increase old age pensions in Telangana from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 4,000 and health insurance to Rs. 10 lakh under ‘Arogya Bima Yojana’ along with 200 units free electricity under ‘Gruha Jyoti’ scheme, said Rahul Gandhi.

"The BJP recently announced an OBC Chief Minister in Telangana; how can you make a chief minister with only two percent of vote here? It is like PM Modi going to America and proclaiming that he will make an OBC President there. Neither you can make the American President nor the Chief Minister in Telangana, " said Rahul Gandhi.
