Congress will rob Telangana by making it their ATM, warns Narendra Modi

KARIMNAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned the people of Telangana against electing the Congress and said that the Congress would convert the State as their ATM.
Addressing a public meeting in Karimnagar on Monday the PM said that if elected, the Congress MLAs would be bought by the BRS immediately after the election. “So don’t vote for a disease to get rid of another,” Narendra Modi said.
Recalling the way former Prime Minister and son of the soil PV Narasimha Rao was treated by the Congress dynasty, the Prime Minister said that all the dynasty ever bothered was about their own children. “The Congress showed no respect to the great reformer even after his death,” he noted.
“If you vote the Congress, the days of terrorism, bomb blasts, and Maoism will return. Congress Governments promoted PFI-like terrorist organisations. Karimnagar is one of the districts that saw leftist terrorism in the past,” the PM said, adding that only the BJP could bring peace.
Reiterating that the BJP was committed to the comprehensive development of Telangana, Narendra Modi said that the victory of Etela Rajender in Huzurabad was only a trailer of the things to come. He said the ensuing elections would mark the end of the BRS in Telangana.
“BJP is a synonym for development. I have seen a change in Telangana during the past few days. People have decided to drive away the BRS and not to let Congress from winning because both represent dynasty rule and appeasement,” Narendra Modi said.
Calling Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao superstitious and unscientific, Narendra Modi said that KCR was afraid of his shadow. “It seems someone has cautioned him to stay away from me. That is why he never even comes to the airport to receive me,” he said.
Narendra Modi warned that the BJP Government in Telangana would investigate corruption charges in various projects including that of Kaleshwaram. Assuring the voters that Karimnagar would be developed as a ‘Silver City’, he said that special attention would be given to encouraging the filigree art of the region.
