C.P. Radhakrishnan takes oath as Telangana Governor

HYDERABAD: Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan took the oath as the Governor of Telangana in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe administered the oath of office to C.P. Radhakrishnan during a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan.
Telangana Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, who presided over the oath-taking ceremony, read out the warrant of appointment released by President Draupadi Murmu after which C.P. Radhakrishnan was administered the oath of office.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with his cabinet ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and other senior officials including Telangana DGP Ravi Gupta attended the ceremony.
Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan was appointed as the Governor of Telangana after former Telangana Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Tamilisai Soundararajan resigned from the position.
The newly appointed Telangana Governor, C.P. Radhakrishnan, will discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana until regular arrangements are made.
