HYDERABAD: Digvijay Singh, Congress party high command's trouble-shooter for Telangana, is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening to diffuse the crisis arising out of a rift between the party seniors and TPCC chief Revanth Reddy.

Digvijay Singh, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh who is currently a Rajya Sabha MP, is rushing into Hyderabad after the Congress high command intervened on Tuesday to make sure that the complaints of the TPCC leaders did not remain unresolved.

As part of the party's fire-fighting efforts, AICC President Mallikharjuna Kharge spoke to Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka over phone and promised that the grievances of the party seniors would be addressed by Digvijay Singh during his visit to the state. The move came following a confrontation between the party seniors and the 'recent entrants' in the wake of the announcement of the TPCC committees.

The task of troubleshooting has been delegated to Digvijay Singh, who previously served as AICC in-charge of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

Digvijay Singh is expected to arrive in the city by Wednesday evening and immediately get down to business. He is expected to hold talks with all the 'stake-holders' in the crisis before conveying the high command's message on the need to remain a cohesive unit during the crucial election year.
