Delhi High Court defers arguments in BRS MLC Kavitha’s bail plea to May 27

Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed the court that it would file a counter-petition on May 27 and that it would file a charge sheet in the case on June 7.

NEW DELHI: Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma of Delhi High Court deferred arguments in BRS MLC Kavitha’s bail plea to May 27.

The Court on Friday posted the arguments in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy scam. While the CBI filed its counter on Friday the Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed the court that it would file a counter-petition on May 27 and that it would file a charge-sheet in the case on June 7.

Kavitha’s council explained in detail the circumstances that led to her arrest on March 15, 2024. On the other hand, the advocates on behalf of the ED and CBI said that they would submit their arguments opposing Kavitha’s bail.
