Delhi Liquor Scam: Pillai moves Delhi Court to retract his statement to ED

NEW DELHI: In a new twist to the Delhi liquor scam case, the Delhi Rouse Avenue court has issued notices to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after hearing the petition filed by the accused Arun Ramachandran Pillai seeking to retract his statement given to the agency against Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
It is known that Pillai was arrested by the ED over the allegations of playing a crucial role in the liquor scam. The ED has recorded Pillai's statement and claimed that the businessman was a proxy of the BRS leader.
However, Pillai filed a petition in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court to retract his statement due to which, the court issued notices to the ED. Kavitha will be appearing before the ED for questioning in the case on March 11, 2023.
