Don’t bother about those who want to leave BRS, let them go; let’s groom new crop, says KTR

KTR also took potshots at Revanth and said that he was not elected as the Chief Minister by the people of Telangana but was appointed under the ‘management quota’ by his party high command in New Delhi.

SIRCILLA: Targeting BRS councillors and other leaders who are quitting the party and switching sides to the Congress, BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has said that they are free to leave and that the party will groom new leaders.

KTR made these comments while addressing party workers in Sircilla on Sunday. In all, 16 councillors jumped to the ruling Congress Government.

Reacting to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's comments about "burying BRS 100 meters deep” remark, KTR said that even his "guru" tried but failed to bury former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his party. KTR was referring to TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, under whose leadership Revanth had worked in the past before he shifted to the Congress.

“He is not even three feet tall but he is talking about burying us 100 meters into the ground. Even your guru and many others spoke in the same way but failed” KTR said.

KTR also took potshots at Revanth and said that he was not elected as the Chief Minister by the people of Telangana but was appointed under the ‘management quota’ by his party high command in New Delhi.

“You paid Rs 50 crore to Manickam Tagore and bagged the position by teaming up with a few. You are no match to even KCR’s toenails,” KTR said.

He reminded that if KCR did not fight for formation of Telangana, Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders wouldn’t have enjoyed their positions today.

"You would not have become Chief Minister and others Congress leaders would not have become Ministers if Telangana didn't exist. It is only because of KCR that you're enjoying your positions. In good times, even earthworms will turn into cobras and start hissing," said KTR.
