HYDERABAD: The Telangana Education Department is gearing up for the DSC exams. Hall tickets for the DSC exams are now available on the official website.

Candidates who have applied can download their hall tickets from the official website, as announced by the Education Department. Despite demands from some quarters to postpone the exams, the department has clarified that they will proceed as scheduled.

According to the schedule set by the Education Department, the DSC exams will commence on July 18 and conclude on August 5. The DSC 2024 recruitment exams will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT). The exam will be for a total of 80 marks, consisting of 160 questions, and will last for two hours and 30 minutes. The DSC exam will include questions on General Knowledge, Teaching, and subject-specific topics. An additional 20 marks will be allocated based on the TS TET weightage. The final list will be announced after combining the written exam scores with the TET weightage.

On July 18, the first shift will have the School Assistant Physical Science exam, and the second shift will have the Physical Education Teacher exam. From July 19 to 22, various medium SGT exams will be conducted. On July 20, SGT, Secondary Grade Physical, and Special Education exams will take place. On July 22, the School Assistant Maths exam will be held, followed by the School Assistant Biological Science exam on July 24, and the Telugu Language Pandit and Secondary Grade Teacher exams on July 26. The School Assistant Social Studies exam will be conducted on July 30.

Out of a total of 11,062 positions, there are 2,629 School Assistant posts, 727 Language Pandit posts, 182 PET posts, 6,508 SGT posts, 220 School Assistant posts in special categories, and 796 SGT (Special Education) posts. This year, there has been a significant number of applications for the DSC exams, with a total of 279,956 applications received. Compared to previous years, there is an increase of 100,000 new applications.
