HYDERABAD: The Telangana School Education Department (DSE) declared on Wednesday that there would be no modifications to the already-announced calendar for the holidays, which brought a sigh of relief to many parents and students who had been looking forward to their Dussehra vacations.

According to the academic calendar 2022–2023, the Telangana state government initially released an official GO notifying the Dussehra holidays from September 26 to October 9, 2022. However, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on Tuesday sent a proposal to the Directorate of School Education to shorten the Dussehra vacation until the end of the academic year 2022–2023 in order to make up for the instructional days lost as a result of the announcement of holidays on various occasions.

"Dussehra holidays have already been announced to all the primary, upper primary, and high schools under all the managements from September 26 to October 9, 2022 as per the Academic Calendar for the year 2022-2023," the Director of School Education (DSE) stated in a formal circular released on Wednesday. This notice informs you that the already stated dates for the Dussehra holidays, which fall between September 26 and October 26, 2022, as per the academic calendar for 2022–2023, will not be changed.
