Exhibition (Numaish) to be held in Karimnagar for the first time

KARIMNAGAR: The people of Karimnagar are likely to have their first feel of the annual exhibition (Numaish) very soon. Efforts are gathering steam to organise the Exhibition, most popular in Hyderabad and across the country as 'Numaish' to take it beyond the state capital. Members of the Nampally Exhibition Society on Wednesday met Telangana Minister Gangula Kamalakar and Telangana State Planning Board Vice-Chairman Boinapalli Vinod Kumar at the Ministers' Quarters here and held deliberations on the issue.
If the society has its way with the consent of the State Government, the dream of hosting the Exhibition (Numaish) in Karimnagar, which is also witnessing rapid all-round growth, this year. Though popular across the country with the same name, 'Numaish' has become synonymous with Hyderabad, where the most-loved annual consumer exhibition is being organised for the last 82 years at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds. In fact, this has been the only venue in Telangana for the mammoth festive fare held for over a month. And for the first time, it is being planned to take it outside of Hyderabad and organise it Karimnagar.
The Nampally Exhibition Society representatives had met Gangula Kamalakar and Vinod Kumar as per an earlier invitation extended by the Minister Gangula to organize Numaish in Karimnagar. The city has been developing rapidly into a world-class destination due to development works like Thigala Bridge, Manair river print and IT Towers, amongst others.
In Hyderabad, the exhibition is set to be held from January 1 to February 15. After this, the exhibition society representatives proposes to host the Numaish in Karimnagar with the support of the government.
