ACHAMPET: “I did my work, now it is your turn to fight for Telangana. Any wrong step now, Telangana will return to where started,” Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) said.

Addressing ‘Praja Aseeravada Sabha’ in Achampet of Nagarkurnool District on Thursday KCR urged the people to turn out to polling booths in huge numbers in a show of strength and elect the BRS one more time to further consolidate the achievements of his Government.

“Don’t get excited and confused, use your brain, and don’t listen to vested interests. If defeated we (BRS) will take a rest, we won't lose anything. But the Telangana society will lose everything that we so painstakingly built in the past ten years,” KCR said.

He wanted the people to recall how many young lives that the Congress Government had taken during the separate Telangana agitation. “It is the same Congress that took back Telangana. More than 400 young people were killed by the Channa Reddy Government. Congress procrastinated the declaration of statehood and made us wait 10 years,” he pointed out.

He said that Congress had no other go than conceding defeat and announced the State's formation only because of his steadfast and truthful fight. “When I came out for Telangana I was all alone. For 24 years I fought for Telangana. Where are these people who are now challenging me to come to Kodangal or to the Gandhi statue,” he questioned. KCR wanted people to recall to remember how Telangana looked like ten years ago and then discuss to whom to vote. He advised the voters that elections come and go but ultimately the people should win.

Asking voters not to get cheated by the false promises of the Congress, KCR said that the farmers of Karnataka where the Congress promised them round-the-clock power were now protesting in TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy’s constituency Kodangal because the Congress Government cheated them.

“Now BJP Chief Ministers will come to Telangana, but they must answer whether they are giving free power and drinking water to every household in their States,” KCR said. He said that Telangana became a role model to the entire country in creating engineering marvels such as lift irrigation schemes that pump water to a height of 680 meters. “Engineers said they couldn't do that, I said I would kill them if they don't do. India saw what KCR is. You are behind me. If this muscle moves on November 30, we will win and your local MLA Balaraju will return,” he said.

Assuring further enhancement of social welfare schemes in a phased manner, he said that Rytu Bandhu was aimed at repairing the damage perpetrated on the farming community of the State by Congress.

“The Congress wants to win because they want to rule, not because they love you. For instance, through the ‘Dharani’ portal I gave your land back into your hand. Now Rahul, Revanth, and Bhatti want to scrap Dharani and take that power back and give it to middlemen," he said.

By scrapping Dharani the Congress leaders want to garner a minimum of Rs 2,000 crore of Rs 15,000 crore Rytu Bandhu funds, KCR declared. " Don’t blame KCR because the decision is yours,” KCR said.

He assured Achampet voters that if elected he would fulfill the demands of the constituency such as the establishment of a Government degree and nursing college for women.
