Farm labourer electrocuted trying to repair pump set in deep well of farmer in Mahbubabad

MAHBUBABAD: With the groundwater levels fast depleting farmers are running from pillar to post to ensure water supply from alternative means.

A farmer in Beruvada village of Kesamudram mandal of Mahabubabad hired the services of a local farm worker Banoth Ramesh (42) to help him desilt his deep well.

As the pump set was not turning on, Ramesh tried to check the connection and was electrocuted. He died on the spot. As it was a deep well, locals extricated the body with the help of a trolly by lowering it into the well.
